Dr. Jeffery L. Campbell is chair of Brigham Young University’s highly respected Facility and Property Management program. With more than 30 years of facility and construction experience, Dr. Campbell is a leading scholar in the profession.
Known for his quality research, books and articles, Dr. Campbell has received prestigious awards for his outstanding work. He has consulted with, and provided research and writing services for numerous FM businesses and associations, including the U.S. government.
Dr. Campbell is a dynamic teacher and frequent presenter at conferences. He has trained facility managers from many top organizations. His classes are engaging, packed with practical information, and always receive high evaluations.
Jeff grew up working in his family-owned construction business. As an adult, he continued in the industry by earning a bachelor’s degree in Housing and Equipment from BYU, and becoming a licensed general contractor and real estate broker.
When mortgage rates hit 20% in the early ‘80s, Jeff returned to school to earn an MBA degree, concluding his studies with a comprehensive thesis on Construction Marketing and Customer Service. His work experience includes:
In 1995, Jeff pursued his doctorate degree from the University of Idaho while teaching at Boise State University. His dissertation focused on ‘How Contract Service Providers Can Improve Client Retention.’ Jeff joined Brigham Young University’s School of Technology in 1997, where he was appointed as chair of the Facility and Property Management program, growing it into one of the most respected FM programs today.
